With a great effort of the Media Center
Kakheti, regional hub partner of the program, a Regional Civil Society Forum took
place on July 12 at the Hotel Ambassador, in Kakheti, to promote the activities
of local CSOs as well as volunteerism.
Representatives of local CSOs and small
businesses were keen to answer all kinds of questions and familiarize guests
with their initiatives. Next to the general presentation of the volunteering
platform, the TimeBank stand also attracted people with small giveaways and a challenging quiz related to the culture of volunteering in Georgia.
Moreover, TimeBank most active volunteer
in the Kakheti Region was awarded a special prize.
The forum was organized in the frame of the
project ”Georgian Civil Society Sustainability Initiative.” It was developed
and is implemented by a consortium led by the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung in
cooperation with four Georgian Civil Society Organizations: the Civil Society
Institute (CSI), the Center for Training and Consultancy (CTC), the Center for
Strategic Research and Development of Georgia (CSRDG) and the Education
Development and Employment Center (EDEC). The initiative is funded by the European
Union and co-funded by the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung.
