Lika Kiladze, Chairperson of the Board of the Education
Development and Employment (EDEC), presented the project and the topic of
discussion to the participants. She also spoke in detail about the functions
and responsibilities of the Council of People with Disabilities.

Manuchar Panchulidze, First Deputy Mayor of
Terjola Municipality, and Nino Janelidze, Chairperson of the Terjola
Municipality Council welcomed the participants of the event. Badri Butskhrikidze, Chairperson
of the Social Commission of the Terjola Municipality Council, spoke about the locally
offered social services.

Sophio Kupatadze, Coordinator of EDEC’s Daycare
Centers for Children and Adults with Disabilities presented possibilities of
rights-based services for people with disabilities.

The roundtable was held within the framework of
the European Union project “Equal Opportunities for Persons with Disability.” It
is implemented by Arbeiter-Samariter-Bund Georgia (ASB), in partnership with the
Education Development and Employment Center (EDEC) and the movement Accessible
Environment for Everyone (AEE).
