20 out of the initial 60 participants have
been chosen based on their earlier results to work for one month in four
different groups on real-life business cases.
Supported by their mentors David
Zhorzholiani, Social Media Manager, Nato Tchelidze, representative of Finca
Bank, Ilia Natsvaladze, Program Coordinator of UNAG in West Georgia, and Eka
Pkhakadze, Journalist and Lecturer at Akaki Tsereteli State University, all
groups are going to face specific tasks set by the project partners.
The goal of this second phase is to push
participants in situations where they need to apply their newly acquired
theoretical knowledge. The groups’ performances will be evaluated by a special
jury as part of a competition.
During the first phase of the Business
School, 60 pupils from high schools based in Kutaisi learned about Business
Management, Financial Management, Marketing Management, Resource Mobilization
and legal issues related to business activities. They also visited various
enterprises and were able to meet company representatives, familiarize with production
processes and ask questions.
The Business School is a joint project of
the Education Development and Employment Center (EDEC) and Kutaisi University
in partnership with Finca Bank and the pharmacy chain PSP.
