The Code of Child Rights adopted by the Parliament of Georgia will enter into force on June 1, 2020

This is a comprehensive legal document that can change the
lives of children in Georgia for the better.

The Code is a guiding document in the implementation process
of activities related to children and the issues related to children.

Accordingly, a seminar to familiarize with the new Code of
Child Rights was a timely and important manner for the staff members of EDEC’s
daycare service centers for children with disabilities. It was organized with
the help of the Georgian Young Lawyers’ Association (GYLA). Daria Saldadze, a GYLA
lawyer, talked in detail about the content of the code, on the rights and
responsibilities of individuals and organizations working with children, and on child
issues.
