The Embassy of Japan has supported the establishment of the Social Inclusion Center in the Baghdadi Municipality

Thanks to the financial support of the Embassy of Japan’s “Human Security Grant Program – (GGP)”, a Social Inclusion Center for children and persons with disabilities was established in Baghdadi municipality. At present, the Social Inclusion Center is undergoing rehabilitation and repair. The center will provide services to 30 disabled individuals and will support the development of their individual, functional, academic, social, and professional skills, as well as their full integration into society. Beneficiaries will be provided with two meals a day and, if necessary, outpatient medical and psychological services, and transportation to and from the center.

In addition, children and people living in Baghdati Municipality will be involved in speech therapy. Furthermore, the beneficiaries, their family members, and other job seekers residing in Baghdati Municipality will be offered professional orientation, career planning, and employment services.

Each year, the Center for Social Inclusion will provide need-based services to at least 120 persons with disabilities and roughly 50 of their family members. The furnishing and equipment will be arranged according to high standards, and will improve the beneficiaries’ involvement in the activities and their interaction with community members. It will also enable the staff to provide quality services.
