The final event of the civic education program Future Generation was held in Kutaisi

On May 21 the Education Development and Employment Center held the concluding event of the civic education program Future Generation in Kutaisi.

The presentation about the activities carried out within the program during 2018-2021 and the achieved results were made at the event.

In the second part of the event, members of the civic club joined the UN Global Road Safety Week and called on the public to reduce speed on the roads through various messages.

The “Generation of the Future” program, implemented by the Education Development and Employment Center since 2018, is initiated by the American organization PH International and the United States Agency for International Development (USAID). The program is supported by the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture, and Sports of Georgia.

The aim of the program is to improve the quality of the civic education school program, to help young people to increase their knowledge, to change their attitudes and behaviors, and to increase their participation in the process of building a democratic society.

The public schools of the Imereti region, including educational institutions in Kutaisi, Chiatura, Sachkhere, Baghdati, Vani, Samtredia, Kharagauli, Tskaltubo, and Zestaponi municipalities participated in the program.

Within the framework of the program, 17 small grants were awarded, 10 pieces of training and 27 competitions were held, 6 study visits were аrranged, 23 meetings with competent persons were organized, 281 class projects and 340 club initiatives were implemented and monitoring of 141 civic education textbooks was provided.
