The round table that took place in Batumi focused on the introduction of a new profession

On August 31, 2023, in the “Radisson Blue Batumi” hotel, a round table was held as a part of the “Master of My House – Learning for the Future” project. Various stakeholders attended the round table, including representatives from non-governmental organizations, professional colleges, the public and private sectors, media organizations, and other interested individuals.

During the meeting, the organizers presented the new profession and discussed the roles of the state and the private sector in the development of vocational education. They also highlighted the importance of introducing new crafts and fostering intersectoral cooperation. Additionally, the meeting covered a short-term preparation program for the maintenance and management of existing infrastructure adjacent to the building.
The specific aim of the project is to introduce new dual vocational education services and the profession of “Hausmaster” in Georgia, particularly in the field of technical services.

The round table was organized by the Education Development and Employment Center (EDEC) in collaboration with the Employment Agency of the Autonomous Republic of Adjara (EAARA). The event was part of the “Master of My House – Learning for the Future” project, which is implemented by the Housing Initiative for Eastern Europe (IWO), EDEC, the Hanse Parliament, and the Charity Humanitarian Center Abkhazet (CHCA). The project is financially supported by the Federal Foreign Office of Germany (AA).
