The short-term vocational training courses in Agricultural Consultant of Blueberry Cultivation are underway in the Samegrelo region

Within the Dual Vocational Education Programme, the short-term vocational training courses in Agricultural Consultant of Blueberry Cultivation are underway for the internally displaced people and the conflict-affected youth residing in the Samegrelo region. The courses have 23 participants.

Within the program, Education Development and Employment Center (EDEC) is partnering with the NNLE Georgian Blueberry Growers’ Association (GBGA), which provides theoretical learning at the agricultural resource center – AGROHOUSE. In Addition, the practical module of the program is provided at the farms of GBGA located in the villages of the Samegrelo region.

After completion of the course, the participant will be engaged in a 3-month paid internship at the farms of GBGA.

The program is implemented within the framework of the project “EU4Youth – Enhancing Youth Education, Employment and Participation in Conflict-affected Areas in Georgia and Ukraine”.

The project aims to widen education, employment, and entrepreneurial opportunities for internally displaced persons and conflict-affected youth and encourages their significant participation in the community.

EU4Youth – Enhancing Youth Education, Employment, and Participation in Conflict-affected Areas in Georgia and Ukraine is implemented by the Danish Refugee Council (DRC) and Education Development and Employment Center (EDEC) in Georgia. The project is funded by the European Union.
