The training was held for members of the organizing committee in Dusheti

The Education Development and Employment Center (EDEC) held a training session for facilitators in the Dusheti Municipality City Hall, the goal of which was to introduce the innovative model of participatory budgeting and inform the participants about the methodology of holding the forum. The training participants learned about the beneficial organizational issues important to know when planning and organizing forums. The selection of facilitators was carried out by the organizing committee. The meeting was chaired by Lika Kiladze, the chairperson of the board of the Education Development and Employment Center (EDEC), and Natia Namichheishvili, the executive director of the same organization.

The project Fostering Decentralization and Good Governance at the Local Level in Georgia (DGG) is implemented by the Education Development and Employment Center (EDEC) with the Financial support of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP). It aims to increase the role of citizen participation, especially of young people and women in the municipalities of Baghdati, Ambrolauri, and Dusheti, in the process of decision and local policy-making, by promoting open dialogue between citizens and decision-makers in local self-government and introducing an effective model of engagement.
