On February 21, 2023, Education Development and Employment Center (EDEC), organized a Thematic Meeting within the framework of the “Learn for Employment” project supported by the European Union.
The purpose of the meeting was to cooperate between sectors to overcome existing problems in the field of education and employment, and to discuss current challenges and ways to improve the situation.
The event was attended by the representatives of local self-government, non-governmental organizations, the State Employment Support Agency, the Georgian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, media, and educational and business sectors.
Lika Kiladze, Chairperson of the Board of EDEC, and Tamta Kvinikadze, Quality Management Manager of College Construct2, talked about the role and importance of career orientation and vocational education services for employment, international and Georgian practice of dual education. A discussion was held at the end of the event.
The project “Learn, Exercise, Achieve, Receive, Network for Employment! (LEARN for Employment!)“ is implemented by the Education Development and Employment Center (EDEC), the Telavi Education Development and Employment Center (TEDEC), the Employment Agency of the Autonomous Region of Adjara (EAARA), Abkhazintercont (AIC) and the Guria Youth Resource Center (GYRC).
