“We are working on empowering young people and creating opportunities for them in Mestia municipality. The project contributes to the voice of youth needs and challenges in Zemo Svaneti to the community and popularization of successful youth initiatives.

 We had the idea to prepare multimedia materials around youth needs. Advocate for their challenges. We wanted young people who live in villages far from the center of Upper Svaneti to reach more people, and their voices to be heard. The fact that there are fewer opportunities for young people in Upper Svaneti, we wanted to create a platform for them, where they could talk and share their opinions. The competition announced by EDEC allowed me and Davit Nizharadze to spread wings for this idea.

The project idea serves to voice the needs and challenges of youth in Upper Svaneti to the public and popularize successful youth initiatives. Depending on the goal, we considered the best way to prepare multimedia materials and share them through social media channels.

Within the framework of the project, a specially created platform will bring together young people. At the same time, young people living in different communities will be allowed to express their voices to decision-making persons and institutions. With successful initiatives and stories, we will help to raise the motivation and desire to seek new opportunities among young people.
