As volunteers of the youth initiative group “Young People for Young People” in Zugdidi municipality, we are dedicated to promoting volunteer activities and empowering young people. Our team comprises individuals with years of volunteer experience and a commitment to ongoing success.
Participating in the volunteer camp organized by EDEC provided us with an invaluable opportunity to put our theoretical knowledge into practice, enhance our skills, and discover more about ourselves. Following the camp, our initiative won a grant competition, enabling us to organize a youth camp focused on “Emotional Well-being and Health.” This camp involved 23 young participants selected through a special competition.
Throughout the camp, participants received valuable information on volunteering, emotional competences, emotional well-being, and healthy lifestyle practices. They also had the chance to interact with EDEC’s executive director, Natia Namicheshvili, and attend a lecture by psychologist Natia Tsyramua on goal setting and achievement. As ambassadors of emotional well-being and health, the young participants will soon lead peer-educator trainings to share the knowledge gained at the camp.
This project has been instrumental in allowing us to share our expertise, develop leadership skills, and reinforce the belief that nothing is impossible. It has propelled us to take another successful step in our volunteer journey.
