On April 2nd, members of Kutaisi Youth
Center visited the Kutaisi Day Care Center “Magic World” to celebrate World
Autism Awareness Day.

The visit aimed to increase the integration
of children with autism into society. The guest had fun with the beneficiaries
of the daycare center and got engaged in educational and entertaining
activities.

The World Autism Awareness Day is an
internationally recognized day on 2nd of April every year, encouraging the
Member States of the United Nations to take measures to raise awareness about
people with Autism Spectrum Disorder throughout the world.

The visit was organized by the Education
Development and Employment Center (EDEC) within the framework of the Promoting
Integration, Tolerance, and Awareness (PITA) Program, implemented by the United
Nations Association of Georgia (UNAG) with the financial support of the United
States Agency for International Development (USAID).
