Young leaders from Kutaisi organized meetings in Tbilisi about road safety

Young leaders from Kutaisi visited various
institutions in Tbilisi as part of the partnership between the Education
Development and Employment Center (EDEC) and Georgia’s Alliance for Safe Roads.

They visited Tbilisi’s “112” Emergency
Assistance Management Center familiarized itself with its work specifics and
learned about ongoing projects related to road safety. A representative of the Center explained the role of “smart cameras” in this regard.

Later, the group went to the Roads
Department of Georgia, where they discussed the importance of female involvement
in the activities of the department in order to make professions like an
engineer, builder, and road officer more popular among girls.

Furthermore, they also visited the Tbilisi
City Hall and the company “Greenway”, where they received information
about vehicle inspections. At each meeting, they were asking questions about
the topics of their interest.

Back in Kutaisi, the young leaders will share
their knowledge and the experiences of those visits with fellow citizens and throughout
the region.
