At the thematic meeting, the ways to solve problems in the field of employment were discussed

On March 15, 2023, the Education Development and Employment Center (EDEC), within the framework of the E-U-funded project, “Learn for Employment”  held a thematic meeting in Gori. The aim of the meeting was cooperation between sectors to overcome the problems in the field of education and employment, and current challenges and discuss ways to improve the situation. The event was attended by representatives of local self-government, non-governmental organizations, the State Employment Support Agency (SESA), the Georgian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, media, and educational and business sectors.

Education Development and Employment Center Board Chair Lika Kiladze and invited speakers discussed issues such as mobility challenges for job seekers and the role of family support services in women’s economic empowerment. A discussion was held at the end of the event.

The EU-funded project “Learn, Exercise, Achieve, Receive, Network for Employment! (LEARN for Employment!)“ is implemented by the Education Development and Employment Center (EDEC), the Telavi Education Development and Employment Center (TEDEC), the Employment Agency of the Autonomous Region of Adjara (EAARA), Abkhazintercont (AIC) and the Guria Youth Resource Center (GYRC).
