On September 2-4, the Education Development and Employment Center (EDEC) will hold training of trainers for the representatives of the colleges “Iberia” and “Erkvani” implementing the vocational training program “Winery Host”. International wine expert Giorgi Dartsimelia will lead the training.
The vocational training program “Winery Host” was developed with the support of the Education Development and Employment Center (EDEC) within the framework of the EU-funded project “Learn, Exercise, Achieve, Receive, Network for Employment! (LEARN for Employment!)“
The goal of the program is for the graduate to know the main geographical and historical, administrative, economic, and social issues of the region. basic information about viticulture and winemaking; Main international and Georgian grape varieties and appellations of origin according to style and other main characteristics. Also be able to prepare a tour, and lead a tour. Application of guide ethics norms, conducting wine tasting, serving wine, and presenting wine in accordance with the international standard.
The EU-funded project “Learn, Exercise, Achieve, Receive, Network for Employment! (LEARN for Employment!)“ is implemented by the Education Development and Employment Center (EDEC), the Telavi Education Development and Employment Center (TEDEC), the Employment Agency of the Autonomous Region of Adjara (EAARA), Abkhazintercont (AIC) and the Guria Youth Resource Center (GYRC).
