On May 18, in Telavi, a mentor training was held for representatives of enterprises, the purpose of which was to develop the knowledge, skills, and competencies of potential mentors, to create a safe and friendly learning environment, to implement a professional program of a specific direction and a practical training process for planning and directing. At the training, the participants acquired knowledge in the topics such as vocational education and educational opportunities, the role of a mentor (instructor), the planning/implementation of teaching methodology and training processes in the enterprise, and others. Vocational education expert Zaira Beridze led the training.
The training was held within the EU-funded project “Learn, Exercise, Achieve, Receive, Network for Employment! (LEARN for Employment!)“ implemented by the Education Development and Employment Center (EDEC), the Telavi Education Development and Employment Center (TEDEC), the Employment Agency of the Autonomous Region of Adjara (EAARA), Abkhazintercont (AIC) and the Guria Youth Resource Center (GYRC).
