Professional skills day was organized with the support of the European Union On April 27, 2023, in Kutaisi, at the College Iberia the Education Development and Employment Center (EDEC), in partnership with the Educational Resource Center and College Iberia, held a Professional Skills Day within the framework of the “Skills for Employment” program supported by the European Union. The purpose of the event was to promote the vocational orientation of young people. High school students, vocational schools operating in Imereti region (American Promontory Education Advancement Center, Kutaisi International University,  “Sio” College, College “Construct2”, Akaki Tsereteli State University, social enterprise “Peacock”, BDC Academy) participated in the event. They presented educational opportunities available on the basis of organizations. The 12th and 32nd public schools of Kutaisi joined the event for musical and visual support. Youth had the opportunity to participate in various interactive activities and competitions, to undergo career orientation training and to receive qualified advice from professionals on career planning and professional choice.

The event was organized within the framework of the EU-funded project “Learn, Exercise, Achieve, Receive, Network for Employment! (LEARN for Employment!)“ which is implemented by the Education Development and Employment Center (EDEC), the Telavi Education Development and Employment Center (TEDEC), the Employment Agency of the Autonomous Region of Adjara (EAARA), Abkhazintercont (AIC) and the Guria Youth Resource Center (GYRC).
