Training of Trainers for the implementers of the “Winery Host”, vocational training program of ended

On September 4, the 3-day training of trainers for the implementers of the “Winery Host”, vocational training program of ended. Representatives of professional training colleges “Iberia” and “Erkvani” attended the training, and were introduced to issues such as: introducing the region, vines and wine, grape varieties and geographical indications, guide skills, standards, norms and ethics, sommelier skills, and wine tasting. Imitation of the learning process was organized in a practical environment in „Baia’s Cellar”. The training was led by Giorgi Dartsimelia, the international wine expert.

The vocational training program “Winery Host” was developed with the support of the Education Development and Employment Center (EDEC) within the framework of the EU-funded project “Learn, Exercise, Achieve, Receive, Network for Employment! (LEARN for Employment!)“ in cooperation with vocational colleges “Iberia” and “Erkvani”. At the current stage, college “Iberia” has announced admission to the professional course “Winery Host”.
